Softball Recap: Fontana Comes Up Short

Fontana lost against Rancho Verde back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Steelers lost 9-2 to the Mustangs.

Fontana saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vivianna Powell, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Fontana's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Rancho Verde, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Fontana will challenge San Gorgonio at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rancho Verde, they will square off against Rancho Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Mustangs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
