Recap: Mosley Dolphins vs. Choctawhatchee Indians
The Mosley Dolphins lost against the Choctawhatchee Indians back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Mosley took a hard 47-29 fall against Choctawhatchee. While losing is never fun, Mosley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Choctawhatchee is ranked 79th).
Mosley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sherilyn Sanchez, who scored six points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Sanchez pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mandi Grontas, who scored 12 points.
Mosley's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Choctawhatchee, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mosley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Crestview at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Choctawhatchee, they will head out on the road to challenge Niceville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
