Volleyball Recap: Cocalico Comes Up Short

Cocalico was the 3-1 winner over Ephrata when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Mountaineers by a score of 3-2 on Monday. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mountaineers 25-21 in the first set.

Cocalico wouldn't go down easily and took Ephrata into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-18, 25-27, 25-22, 15-13.

Cocalico's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 4-4. As for Ephrata, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-9-1.

Looking ahead, Cocalico will host Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ephrata, they are taking a road trip to challenge Warwick at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
