Softball Recap: Chester Hambletonians vs. Wallkill Panthers
Chester had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 7-3 to the Wallkill Panthers. Chester was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wallkill apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Wallkill's win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chester will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Beacon at 11:00 a.m. on April 6th. As for Wallkill, they will head out on the road to face off against Valley Central at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
