Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask University School of Jackson). They were the clear victors by a 21-2 margin over the Fayette Academy Vikings on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bruins considering their two-run performance the match before.

Braydin Jones was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because University School of Jackson is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 5-7 otherwise. Jones was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and six RBI. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, University School of Jackson got a massive performance out of Max Kilburn, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Kilburn a new career-high. Harrison McClain was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

University School of Jackson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fayette Academy only posted an OBP of .417.

University School of Jackson's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Fayette Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-4.
