Football Game Preview: Walnut Wildcats vs. Water Valley Blue Devils + Official Tickets

The Walnut Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Water Valley Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Walnut has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while Water Valley will arrive with three straight wins.

It was a proper cat-fight when Walnut faced off against Baldwyn on Thursday. The Wildcats came up short against the Bearcats, falling 36-12. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 22-0.

Meanwhile, Water Valley beat East Union 32-22 on Thursday.

While passing duties were split, you can't argue with the impact Tre Adams and Zae Bradford both made on the contest. Adams rushed for 137 yards and three scores while picking up 7.2 yards per carry while Bradford rushed for 137 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Bradford is now averaging an impressive 102.4 rushing yards per game.

Water Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 353 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Union only rushed for 161.

Walnut's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Water Valley, their record is now 8-2.
