Blue Mountain has gone 8-2 against North Schuylkill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Blue Mountain was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Minersville on Saturday. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Miners a 10-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Miners: they've now won four in a row.

Blue Mountain let Anna Borden and Addyson Fishburn run wild. Borden went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Fishburn went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Fishburn is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Place, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.
Blue Mountain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Minersville only posted an OBP of .176.
Meanwhile, North Schuylkill's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Berwick.
Olivia Jones made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Jones was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Mallorie Croker was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Blue Mountain's record is now 7-1. As for North Schuylkill, their record now sits at 12-2.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Blue Mountain has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .489. However, it's not like North Schuylkill struggles in that department as they've averaged .463. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Blue Mountain beat North Schuylkill 4-1 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
