Chaminade Julienne Catholic had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Carroll Patriots by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won three in a row.

The win didn't come easy: Carroll scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-19, 19-25, 25-18, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why Carroll lost, don't look at Anthony Borger. Despite the final result, he had nine digs and one assist. Those nine digs gave Borger a new career-high.

This is the second loss in a row for Carroll and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chaminade Julienne Catholic will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Ponitz Career Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carroll, they will host Bishop Fenwick at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
