Evangelical Christian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the St. George's Gryphons 7-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-6 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Natalie Regel, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Julianna Lewis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Evangelical Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for St. George's, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evangelical Christian will host Briarcrest Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for St. George's, they will square off against Northpoint Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
