Basketball Recap: Merrol Hyde Magnet Hawks vs. Knowledge Academies
The Merrol Hyde Magnet Hawks won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were dealt a 64-35 defeat at the hands of Knowledge Academies. Merrol Hyde Magnet has not had much luck with the recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Pierce Cook and Tucker Smith certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Cook scored eight points, while Smith scored ten points. Smith is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight.
Merrol Hyde Magnet struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They are winless (0-3) when they just don't pass the ball.
Merrol Hyde Magnet dropped their record down to 4-14 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Knowledge Academies, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.
Merrol Hyde Magnet will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Nashville Central Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Knowledge Academies, they will head out on the road to square off against the Red Devils at 6:00 a.m. on Friday.
