Basketball Recap: Crown Point Skates Past Michigan City with Ease

There's no place like home for Crown Point, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 67-32 victory over the Michigan City Wolves. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 31 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crown Point to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Richie, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 21 points. Richie is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played. Ivy Henderson was another key player, going 6 for 9 on her way to 14 points in addition to six boards and three blocks.

Crown Point was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Michigan City only posted six assists.

Nia Wilkins and Minayah Cochran certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Wilkins posted four points, while Cochran put up four points.

Crown Point's record now sits at 10-8. As for Michigan City, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crown Point will venture away from home to face off against Munster at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Michigan City, they will head out to challenge River Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
