            Baseball Recap: Burlington Township Falcons vs. Bordentown Scotties        
        
		
        
        
            Burlington Township was the  2-1 winner over Bordentown when they last played one another  back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell just short of the Scotties by a score of  3-1 on Tuesday. The  contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring  game so far this season.
 Sean Heffernan was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-low in  walks (zero). He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run.
 Heffernan wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Joe Scimone, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base.
Burlington Township's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bordentown, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burlington Township will take on Cinnaminson at 3:45  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Bordentown, they will head out to  square off against Steinert  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
