Baseball Recap: San Angelo HomeSchool Comes Up Short

If San Angelo HomeSchool was riding high fresh off their 19-3 takedown of Grape Creek last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The San Angelo HomeSchool Saints came up short against the Christoval Cougars on Tuesday, falling 17-11.

San Angelo HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Christoval, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Angelo HomeSchool will take on Westbrook at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Westbrook is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Christoval, they will venture away from home to take on Menard at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Menard knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Christoval likes a good challenge.
