Northern Durham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 35-29 heartbreaker at the hands of the Riverside-Durham Pirates. One positive for the Knights, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Riverside-Durham's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Beck Arrendondo, who posted 11 points. Saniya Thurman was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Northern Durham's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Riverside-Durham, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 4-10 record.

Northern Durham has already played their next match, a 49-31 loss against East Chapel Hill on the 27th. As for Riverside-Durham, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 35-29 defeat against Hillside on the 27th.
