You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Metuchen's strategy against Dunellen on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Metuchen Bulldogs blew the Dunellen Destroyers out of the water with a 55-20 final score. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 25 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Dunellen still got an impressive performance from Sophie Jimenez, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. That was a full 55% of Dunellen's points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Metuchen is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.9 points per game. As for Dunellen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
