Baseball Game Preview: Madison Blue Streaks vs. Cardinal Huskies

The Madison Blue Streaks will head out to challenge the Cardinal Huskies at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Madison's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Cardinal's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Madison fell victim to Perry and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Blue Streaks were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Cardinal can bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Badger 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Huskies have posted since April 9th.

Cardinal's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Madison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6-1.

Everything went Madison's way against Cardinal when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Madison made off with an 8-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Streaks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
