Football Game Preview: Riverside Pirates vs. Weston-McEwen TigerScots + How To Watch

Riverside hasn't had much luck against Weston-McEwen recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Pirates will be playing at home against the TigerScots at 7:00 p.m. Riverside has given up an average of 33.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Riverside is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Heppner on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Pirates were beaten by the Mustangs 56-6. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Weston-McEwen). They claimed a resounding 52-16 victory over Irrigon. The TigerScots haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Weston-McEwen now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Riverside took a serious blow against Weston-McEwen in their previous matchup back in October of 2021, falling 43-6. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
