Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Holmen

Holmen had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Sun Prairie West Wolves. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolves, too.

Holmen got a great performance from Chris Holmes as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Holmes has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Nolan Lomas was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Mason Flury, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Holmen kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.

Holmen's record is now 17-7. As for Sun Prairie West, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-21.
