Basketball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Republic Tigers, falling 68-15. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Republic, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-8.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 45-30 loss against Joplin on the 31st. As for Republic, they will take on Glendale at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Republic's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
