Volleyball Recap: Maret Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sidwell Friends on Tuesday, Maret came back down to earth. The Frogs lost 3-0 to the Glenelg Country Dragons on Friday.

While Maret ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-17.

Kennedy Cummins was a one-woman wrecking crew For Glenelg Country. as she had 18 digs and two aces. Cummins is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Maret's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Glenelg Country, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Maret will take on Connelly School of the Holy Child at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glenelg Country, they will face off against Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
