Football Recap: Okeechobee Comes Up Short

Okeechobee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 28-8 to the Centennial Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Brahmans of the 50-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Chris Evans threw for 41 yards and one TD. Matthew May was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards. On the ground, Ignacio Gomez rushed for 111 yards.

Okeechobee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Centennial, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

Okeechobee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 33-6 victory against Port St. Lucie on the 10th. As for Centennial, they have also already played their next game, a 28-24 loss against Monsignor Pace on the 10th.
