Basketball Recap: Addison Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Addison proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 30) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Danville Hawks 55-52. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Addison to victory, but perhaps none more so than Scout Flynn, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 15 rebounds. With that strong performance, Flynn is now averaging an impressive 8.8 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Conner Lane, who shot 47% from the field to rack up 18 points.

Addison smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Despite the loss, Danville still got an impressive performance from Ty Bailey, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Bailey's sixth in a row with at least 15 points. Rylan Vernor also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Addison's record is now 3-1. As for Danville, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Addison will host St. Bernard Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Danville, they will be playing at home against East Lawrence at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
