Soccer Game Preview: Muskegon vs. Jenison

Muskegon hasn't had much luck against Jenison recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Big Reds will challenge the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Muskegon has given up an average of 9.9 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Muskegon is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Thursday. They lost 9-0 to Reeths-Puffer.

Meanwhile, Jenison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against Byron Center, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Jenison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 313th, while Byron Center are ranked 22nd).

Jenison's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Muskegon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Muskegon might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Jenison in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Big Reds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
