Palmyra faced Northeastern in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Bobcats, falling 3-0. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-21, 25-10.

Palmyra's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 8-3. As for Northeastern, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 27-10-8.

Looking ahead, Palmyra will square off against Mechanicsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northeastern, they will face off against Cumberland Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
