Basketball Recap: Ben's Ford Christian's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Ben's Ford Christian had lost three straight headed into Thursday's contest, but Israel Kongolo didn't let it get to four. The Ben's Ford Christian Eagles were the clear victor by a 66-40 margin over the Prentiss Christian Saints on Thursday thanks in part to Kongolo, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 14 rebounds. The game was his seventh in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Slocum, who went 5 of 10 en route to 12 points and five assists. Those five assists gave him a new career-high.

Ben's Ford Christian's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13. As for Prentiss Christian, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Ben's Ford Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 73-70 victory against Centreville Academy on the 17th. As for Prentiss Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-28 defeat against Sylva Bay Academy on the 17th.
