Freedom Area has gone a perfect 8-0 against Aliquippa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field against the Quips at 4:00 p.m. Freedom Area is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Freedom Area needed a bit of extra time to put away Highlands. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Golden Rams.

Anthony Taddeo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tommy Ward, who went 2-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Colton Blank, who went 4-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Freedom Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Aliquippa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Brashear, falling 15-0.

Aliquippa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Freedom Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Freedom Area took their victory against Aliquippa in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 21-0 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Quips turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
