Football Recap: Dreher Comes Up Short

After soaring to 36 points the game before, Dreher was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell 20-13 to the Lancaster Bruins. The game was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Blue Devils couldn't quite close it out.

When it comes to explaining why Dreher lost, don't look at Brandon Mack. Despite the final result, he rushed for 128 yards and one score.

Dreher has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Lancaster, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Dreher and Lancaster could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. The Blue Devils (ranked 140th) will meet A.C. Flora (ranked 25th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lancaster will take on South Pointe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (99 vs. 3).
