Softball Game Preview: Walnut Mustangs vs. Diamond Bar Brahmas

Walnut hasn't had much luck against Diamond Bar recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Brahmas at 3:30 p.m. Walnut has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Walnut is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 17-1 to Bonita.

Walnut saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rihanna J, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Diamond Bar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Ayala, falling 14-1.

Walnut's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Diamond Bar, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.

Walnut suffered a grim 11-5 defeat to Diamond Bar when the teams last played on April 8th. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
