Kingman/Norwich extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 6-5. They fell 11-6 to the Conway Springs Cardinals. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.
Kingman/Norwich saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haidyn Hartley, who went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Hartley has launched this season. Another was Teagan Dick, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
As for Conway Springs, the victory (which was their fifth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games.
On Conway Springs' side, Macie Hartman made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off ten hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Hartman has posted since back in March of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Conway Springs let Sam Howard and Joslin Bartelson run wild. Howard went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double, while Bartelson got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Johnson, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Kingman/Norwich beat Conway Springs by a score of 16-4 later that day.
