The Grayson County Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Thomas Nelson Generals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Grayson County took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over John Hardin.

Grayson County never let John Hardin on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Thomas Nelson came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Generals have posted against the Eagles since September 19, 2019.

Grayson County's victory bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Thomas Nelson, their win bumped their record up to 19-13.

Grayson County beat Thomas Nelson 2-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2017. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
