Basketball Recap: Hampton Comes Up Short

Hampton lost to North Greene back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs took a blow against the Huskies, falling 68-34. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 254th, while the Huskies are ranked 78th).

Hampton dropped their record down to 10-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for North Greene, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Hampton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Greene, they will take on Cherokee at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
