Football Game Preview: Red Jacket vs. Midlakes Screaming Eagles

Red Jacket will venture away from home to square off against the Midlakes Screaming Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Red Jacket's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against South Seneca/Romulus as they made off with a 21-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Red Jacket's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while South Seneca/Romulus is ranked 244th).

Meanwhile, Midlakes made easy work of Mynderse Academy last Friday and carried off a 28-8 win. The victory continues a trend for the Screaming Eagles in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won four in a row.

Midlakes' win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Red Jacket, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Red Jacket might still be hurting after the 26-0 loss they got from Midlakes in their previous matchup back in September. Can Red Jacket avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
