Softball Recap: Carlisle Comes Up Short

After flying high against McCrory on Friday, Carlisle came back down to earth. The Bison came up short against the Taylor Tigers on Monday, falling 14-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bison have suffered since April 16, 2024.

Carlisle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jessa Wiles, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

The defeat snapped Carlisle's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-10 record. As for Taylor, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Carlisle will face off against Bigelow at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Taylor, they will challenge Lafayette County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
