Swett won against Emery last Wednesday with 16 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Swett beat the Mt. Diablo Red Devils by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-3. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Rebekah Millan was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Swett let Sanaia Tuuu and Camryn Christian run wild. Tuuu went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Christian scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Christian has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mykele Boyd, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Swett was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mt. Diablo only posted a batting average of .316.

The victory made it two in a row for Swett and bumps their season record up to 7-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Mt. Diablo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Swett will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Patrick-St. Vincent at 4:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Mt. Diablo, they will square off against Ygnacio Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Diablo is facing Ygnacio Valley at the right time seeing as Ygnacio Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
