Basketball Recap: Many Takes a Loss

Many lost against Hicks back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Many Tigers were beaten by the Hicks Pirates 69-35. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Pirates are ranked 50th).

Many has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for Hicks, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 33-8.

Many has already played their next game (against Red River), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hicks will take on Anacoco at 5:00 a.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hicks' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
