Basketball Recap: Thrall Takes a Loss

Thrall's tournament run continued when they took on St. Augustine on Friday. The Thrall Tigers were beaten by the St. Augustine Knights 84-42. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1420th, while the Knights are ranked 507th).

Thrall's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for St. Augustine, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-7.

The future could be bright for both Thrall and St. Augustine: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Thrall will try to hand Hondo their tenth-straight defeat when the two meet at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, St. Augustine will look to extend Hebbronville's three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
