Basketball Recap: Philadelphia's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Philadelphia can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They managed a 53-48 victory over the Choctaw County Chargers. This was payback for the Tornadoes, who suffered a 50-29 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Philadelphia's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9. As for Choctaw County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.

Philadelphia will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Union at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th. Choctaw County will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Starkville Academy at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th. Starkville Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Choctaw County surely won't give up without a fight.
