Basketball Recap: Norton Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Norton took on Brookside on Friday. The Norton Panthers had to suffer through an 84-54 loss at the hands of the Brookside Cardinals. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-28.

Norton has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. The victory was the third in a row for Brookside, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.

Norton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brookside, they will head out to challenge Marlington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Brookside's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 14 contests.
