Baseball Recap: Dumont Comes Up Short

Dumont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 8-5 to the Indian Hills Braves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Braves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Jarrett Carramusa made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Dumont: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-11-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Chase Orso, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Dumont's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12-1. As for Indian Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Dumont will face off against Leonia at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Indian Hills, they will square off against North Arlington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
