Basketball Recap: Rachel Morgan Key Part of Team Effort in Eagles Win

Milford won the last time they faced Loveland and things went their way on Monday too. The Eagles walked away with a 46-33 win over the Tigers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Tigers are ranked 221st).

Milford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rachel Morgan out in front who posted 13 points. That's the most points Morgan has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Chadwell, who earned 13 points.

When it comes to explaining why Loveland lost, don't look at Bella Rogers. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 16 points and 15 boards. Rogers is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Macey Allen also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Milford and bumps their season record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points over those games. As for Loveland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
