Volleyball Recap: Cocke County Takes a Loss

Cocke County saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rhea County Golden Eagles.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-15.

Celeste McNealy paced Cocke County's offense, picking up four kills. McNealy got some help from Kate Kickliter and her seven assists.

Cocke County's defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Rhea County, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 12-11.

Coincidentally, Cocke County and Rhea County will both be playing Greeneville the next time they take the court. The Fighting Cocks will head out to face the Greene Devils at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Golden Eagles will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
