Basketball Recap: Kaila Brogan Key Part of Team Effort in Lions Win

Sound Christian extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Summit Classical Christian School. They enjoyed a cozy 39-22 victory over the Summit Classical Christian School Archers. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Archers back in January, they had to take a 37-32 defeat.

Sound Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaila Brogan, who posted 18 points along with eight boards and six blocks. The dominant performance also gave Brogan a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (80%). Another player making a difference was Piper Timmer, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds.

Sound Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Summit Classical Christian School, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Sound Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 38-23 victory against Providence Classical Christian on the 15th. Summit Classical Christian School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
