Malad waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with 18 straight wins... but they left with 19. They enjoyed a cozy 52-38 victory over the Declo Hornets. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Hornets are ranked 102nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Malad pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Declo, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Malad will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Soda Springs at 7:30 p.m. Soda Springs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Malad surely won't give up without a fight. As for Declo, they are taking a road trip to face off against Aberdeen at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
