Basketball Recap: Ian Wall's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Valley Forge Baptist Academy over Lincoln Leadership Academy

On Thursday, the Valley Forge Baptist Academy Patriots ended up a good deal behind the Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions and lost 54-37. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Valley Forge Baptist Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ian Wall, who posted 16 points. Wall's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Chanler Buckman was another key player, putting up nine points.

Lincoln Leadership Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dwight Prud'Homme led the charge by going 6 for 8 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Medina, who had seven points in addition to six assists and six steals.

The defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 5-2. As for Lincoln Leadership Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Valley Forge Baptist Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-53 victory against Upper Bucks Christian on the 10th. As for Lincoln Leadership Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-37 win against Tamaqua on the 10th.
