Recap: Fairview Knights vs. Roosevelt Roughriders

It was a good run, but the Fairview Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 79-28 loss at the hands of Roosevelt. Fairview was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-8.

Fairview lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Danae Addison-taylor, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. The matchup was Addison-taylor's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alice Rowe, who scored four points.

Roosevelt's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brook Meza, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kinsey Trujillo, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Fairview now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Roosevelt, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Fairview will take on Rocky Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. As for Roosevelt, they will head out on the road to face off against Frederick at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Frederick is ranked 48th, while Roosevelt is ranked 21st).
