Soccer Recap: Rowan County Comes Up Short

Rowan County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Boyd County Lions, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Rowan County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky soccer rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Boyd County are ranked 42nd).

Rowan County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for Boyd County, they pushed their record up to 9-2-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Rowan County wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Mason County on the 17th. As for Boyd County, they will square off against Minford at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
