Fox took an eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Lindbergh, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Flyers on Wednesday, sneaking past 6-4.

Fox's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 11-14. As for Lindbergh, their record is now 15-15-2.

Looking ahead, Fox will be playing in front of their home fans against Farmington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lindbergh, they are taking a road trip to challenge Festus at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Flyers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
