Baseball Recap: Yucca Valley Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Yucca Valley and Coachella Valley, and Coachella Valley kept the tradition alive. The Trojans fell just short of the Mighty Arabs by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mighty Arabs this season, with their most recent loss being a 6-0 defeat back in March.

Landen Bradshaw was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Cole Thompson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Yucca Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Coachella Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Yucca Valley will challenge rival Indio at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Coachella Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Twentynine Palms at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
