Soccer Game Preview: Stevens vs. Sotomayor

Stevens is 0-3 against Sotomayor since January of 2023 but things could change on Wednesday. The Stevens Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Sotomayor WILDCATS at 7:00 p.m.

Stevens fell victim to Warren and their airtight defense on Monday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 369th, while the Warriors are ranked 53rd).

Meanwhile, Sotomayor kept a clean sheet against Holmes on Monday. They blew past the Huskies 5-0. Considering the WILDCATS have won nine matches by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Holmes from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

The win made it two in a row for Sotomayor and bumps their season record up to 12-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Stevens, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.
