Oakwood Christian hadn't done well against Murray County recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Indians. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

Despite the loss, Murray County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brayleigh Wimberley had eight digs and two aces.

Oakwood Christian's record is now 3-1. As for Murray County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
